What is energy management?
Software that monitors, controls, and optimises distributed energy assets
Evergen is Intellihub’s energy management software for monitoring, optimising and orchestrating distributed energy resources. It connects assets such as batteries, solar systems, EV chargers, hot water systems, and smart meters into a single platform for visibility, control, forecasting, and reporting.
Through cloud-based APIs and Intellihub’s demand flexibility ecosystem, Evergen helps utilities, retailers, businesses, communities and households coordinate flexible energy assets across sites and fleets with clearer operational control
Managing network and market complexity for distributed energy
Customer energy resources are growing across homes, commercial sites, and shared communities. As distributed energy grows, the value depends on coordinated control and clear data. It becomes harder to manage when devices, tariffs, export limits, and customer programs sit in separate systems.
Evergen helps turn dispersed devices into flexible, manageable assets. This matters more as VPP participation, dynamic operating models, demand response and reliable integration become an operating requirement.
How it works
Evergen energy management delivers
-
Device connectivity and integration
Evergen connects to a wide range of distributed energy devices, including solar inverters, batteries, EV chargers and hot water systems. The platform supports cloud-to-cloud, smart meter and API connectivity, allowing customers to control assets without adding extra on-site hardware.
-
Forecasting and optimisation
The software combines generation and demand forecasts, price signals, hardware parameters, user preferences and fleet settings to generate operating plans for connected assets. Optimising every five minutes, charging, discharging, load shifting and trading decisions can respond to changes in weather, customer behaviour and market conditions.
-
Control and market participation
Evergen uses data control software to coordinate groups of assets for retailers, networks and virtual power plant operators. This includes battery dispatch, controlled load scheduling, negative price response, export control and other flexibility programs. It also supports clients who want Evergen for device aggregation only and prefer to run their own optimiser.
-
Monitoring, reporting and customer delivery
Energy management software provides a single view of connected fleets for monitoring, alerting and reporting. Customers can interact through our world-leading DERMS platform, or integrate through APIs into existing retailer, network, billing or DERMS environments depending on their operating model.
Who this is for
Who Evergen helps
Energy retailers and grid operators
Run flexible energy programs with more control and less operational overhead
Evergen helps turn distributed energy fleets into a practical, controllable capability. It gives retailers visibility across solar, batteries, EV chargers and controlled loads, with APIs, user interfaces and cloud-to-cloud connectivity that support day-to-day operations and customer offers. With optimisation running every five minutes, retailers can better manage battery dispatch, controlled hot water programs, export control and negative price response while reducing operational complexity.
This is for you if:
You’re an energy retailer or grid operator wanting to build a practical DER program, manage flexible loads and create customer offers that fit a more active, two-way energy system.
Businesses
Get more value from onsite energy assets with less operational complexity
Evergen helps commercial and industrial (C&I) asset owners coordinate solar, batteries, EV chargers and flexible loads across a single platform. It provides visibility and control across distributed sites, with APIs, user interfaces and cloud-to-cloud connectivity that support day-to-day operations, asset performance and energy cost management. With optimisation running every five minutes, C&I asset owners can better manage battery dispatch, solar self-consumption, peak demand, export limits, EV charging and negative price response while reducing the operational burden of managing flexible energy assets.
This is for you if:
You own or operate commercial and industrial energy assets and want to improve site performance, reduce energy costs, manage flexible loads and make your assets ready for more active participation in energy markets.
Communities
Run community battery programs with more control and less operational overhead
Evergen helps turn community batteries into practical, controllable energy assets that support local energy sharing, network outcomes and customer participation. It provides visibility across battery assets and connected systems, with APIs, user interfaces and cloud-to-cloud connectivity that support program operationsand coordination with market or network requirements. With optimisation running every five minutes, community battery projects can better manage charging and discharging, local solar soak, export control, peak support and negative price response while reducing the complexity of operating shared energy infrastructure.
This is for you if:
You’re developing or operating a community battery project and want to manage local energy flows, improve utilisation, support customer or community offers, and operate the asset as part of a more active, two-way energy system.
Partnerships
Digitising renewable energy
Evergen’s software platforms and products enable monitoring, control, optimisation and orchestration of distributed energy resources and utility-scale assets.
Technical capabilities
Built for device orchestration, forecasting and fleet-level control
Integration for real-world DER programs.
Cloud-native device integration
Supports cloud-to-cloud connectivity with user interfaces and APIs for monitoring, control and data retrieval. Evergen integrates with solar inverters, batteries, EV chargers, hot water systems, smart meters, billing platforms and distributed energy resource management (DERMS) platforms across Australia, New Zealand and other markets.
Optimisation engine
The platform optimises every five minutes using load forecasts, PV generation forecasts, pricing data, hardware settings, customer preferences and fleet controls. It supports behind-the-meter optimisation, spot price response, controlled load orchestration, and simultaneous optimisation of EV charging and battery storage.
DERMS and platform layer
Evergen provides the DERMS capability within Intellihub’s broader demand flexibility ecosystem. It works alongside deX for consumer energy resources (CER) registration and connectivity, enabling retailers, networks and aggregators to access multiple device types through a single platform.
Put your distributed energy assets under clearer operational control
Whether you are building a DER program, connecting flexible loads or improving fleet visibility, Evergen helps you monitor, control and optimise solar, batteries, EV chargers and hot water systems through one platform, with forecasting, APIs and five-minute optimisation built in.
